Hear the neighbors
Short stories from real people on your street: what they believe, what they celebrate, and where they come from. In their own voices.
Love Your Neighbor. One old command, heard in many faiths. Who is my neighbor?
Read the plain answers on Neighbor Radio(opens in a new tab)The player loads from neighborradio.com only when you tap. Nothing plays until you press play, and each voice plays in its own show's player, such as YouTube, under that site's rules.
The problem
You live next to people who pray, celebrate, and grieve in ways you have never seen up close. You are curious, but you do not want to ask the wrong thing.
What it does
Short, plain answers about the faiths, cultures, and holidays of the people on your street, with a radio that plays real neighbors telling their own stories. Each answer ends with how to be a good neighbor.
What makes it different
Most of what you hear about other people comes from someone with a reason to make you afraid or angry. Neighbor Radio lets the neighbors speak for themselves, and it has nothing to sell.
Why we built this
Every neighbor has a story. Most of us just never hear it. Once you know someone's story, they stop being a stranger. Neighbor Radio starts from the oldest command in the book: love your neighbor. It asks a Sikh, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, a pastor, and a doctor who does not believe in God what that means to them.
Nothing plays until you press play. Every voice plays in its own show's player, with credit to the people who made it.
